The owner of the A-house had a special feeling when he first visited this apartment. He didn´t know yet why, but there was a reason: it was the perfect match.
This super bright house in an historical housing compound fulfilled his main requirements:
- Being in a nice and lively area.
- A good deal that would make feasible a renovation.
- The character and soul of and 100 years’ building with a history behind.
The main ideas flowed quickly. Renovating keeping the soul of the house; being sustainable and making a home that tells our client story.
We opened the kitchen to the dining and living room – 'the best conversations always happen at the kitchen'- he told me, so we made the kitchen the heart of the house. We introduce a pinch of colour to create different environments -using a palette of white, pink, red and blue tones. We bet for keeping the original and incredibly beautiful floor tiles. And we aimed to get a better energy efficiency performance improving the insulation of the façade walls and with a new low-consumption electric heating and ceiling fans.
